Award Winning Fine Arts Program
Do not neglect your gift, which was given you...
1 Timothy 4:14
God has gifted each student with unique abilities and interests. Heritage strives to provide every student with opportunities to explore and develop these gifts. HCA’s fine arts program provides a creative outlet to all of their students.
Visual Arts
Visual arts students learn the basics, propelling their art education into the realm of fine arts, focusing on the elements and principles of design. By the time they are in middle school and high school, students have explored all the mediums and various approaches to design and composition, including painting with watercolor, oil and acrylic; drawing with graphite, pastels and charcoal; projects in clay, sculpture, and architecture. 2006-2007 TAPPS 2A Fine Arts Teacher of the Year Carol Adair brings her passion for art and love for children to all her art classes, K4-12. Under her tutelage, HCA’s high school students took first place in the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 State TAPPS 2A art competition.

Through field trips to studios, galleries and museums, the students develop an awareness and appreciation for the world of fine arts. Upon completion of their high school career, art students will have developed an extensive portfolio for seeking scholarships. HCA students can also delve into new arenas of creativity by trying their hand at photography, graphic design, yearbook, or creating videos through digital editing.
Performing Arts
HCA’s performing arts department gives budding actors and actress a chance to perform in top-notch musicals and stage productions. The experience gained has afforded many the opportunities for drama and music scholarships. Other students are able to use their talents by participating in praise team, band, and/or choir.
With such variety available, Heritage is able to produce well-rounded individuals who can embrace new opportunities at every stage of life .
