Briana Fulgham-Senior 2010

"Opportunities" is the best word to describe Briana's senior year at HCA. Having attended four high schools in four years due to her parent’s career moves, she knows how difficult it would have been for her to be involved in so many activities at another school. This year has enabled her to participate in volleyball, homecoming court, mission trips, drama, and softball in ways that would have been unlikely as a new student in a larger public school.

The mission trips have opened her eyes to the physical and spiritual needs of the world around her, children especially; and she is now seeking out more ways to serve. The academics have challenged Briana to increase her study skills to maintain her high GPA in preparation for college. We are thankful that HCA has Ms. Jodi Benavidez as she played such an important role in guiding Briana to compare and contrast schools in order to select the best fit for her future. The college presentations, visits, and guidance were instrumental in helping Briana decide which school she wanted to attend to further her education and earn a generous scholarship. She is certainly better prepared to begin her academic career in pediatric medicine.

We have watched our shy, quiet little girl develop into a confident young woman over the last several months. HCA has partnered with us as parents in preparing Briana for a healthy, happy, and productive adult life.

Josh Kimmis -Senior 2010

Oh where to begin? Josh's
experience at HCA been beyond what we had hoped for! He has had godly men and women investing in him, not only academically and spiritually, but also personally. HCA has given Josh a foundation to succeed in college and beyond. Not only
has Heritage prepared Josh academically with challenging classes, but also with life skills that Josh has carried into his everyday life.  The college counselor has played a significant role in preparing Josh for college and life. We are ever so thankful and blessed for her guidance and genuine care!

You would never know HCA is a small school by all the many opportunities they give their students. One opportunity in particular that has been a blessing to Josh is getting to be part of the Film Media Class. Film Media is Josh’s chosen major, so getting the opportunity to learn and work on this team has taught him some new skills and strengthened others.

           I could go on and on and on…..we are so thankful and blessed the Lord led us here to HCA!
